The Queens Foundation for Architecture, based in Queens, was established in 2017 to advance Architecture awareness through stimulating Architectural/Design thinking, formation of relationships and partnerships that encourage community engagement, and fostering an understanding of the built environment and architecture through K-12 educational programs and scholarships.
Scholarship opportunities offered by the Queens Foundation for Architecture will provide financial support for post-secondary education as well as continuing support during post-secondary education. With the help of others, through financial and volunteer opportunities, the shared vision of the Queens Foundation for Architecture will bring forth Architecture awareness where most needed.

The College Essay Scholarship program is supported through fundraising efforts by the Queens Foundation for Architecture, in collaboration with AIA Queens and AIA National. This Essay Scholarship Program seeks to recognize Architecture students and members of AIAS in New York State who best illustrate their journeys through words, as they pursue Architecture. Key resources and past outreach partners include AIAS National, AIANY, CCNY, Pratt, NYIT, Parsons, and City Tech. |
The Excellence and Merit High School Scholarship Program awards students through The Queens Foundation for Architecture, to a graduating high school senior entering in a NAAB-accredited Architecture program in New York who exemplifies a GPA of 3.0 or higher, the characteristics and qualities described and articulated in the Architecture program.
Our current partners includes the High School for Construction Trades, Engineering, and Architecture (CTEA HS), and the High School for Art & Design. |
The NEF CAD Design Competition Award Program, recognizes the 1st place winner with a one-time award for placing at the top of the school competition, and moving on to the regional circuit.
A partnership with The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Greater New York Chapter 240, recognizing three top ranking students in a CAD design competition, of which the 1st place Winner receives an award from The Queens Foundation for Architecture (QFA). |
