Eligibility

• Academic School Year 2022 - 2023
• ​College Essay Scholarship Program
• Three Awards: $1,000 | $1,000 | $1,000
• Start Date: Monday, March 20, 2023, 12:00 AM EST
• Submission Deadline: Monday, April 24, 2023, 11:59 PM EST
• Award Recipients Announced: Early to mid-May 2023

• Must be enrolled at a NAAB-accredited undergraduate B. Arch architecture program
• Must be a 3rd, 4th or 5th-Year student within the Tri-State area.
• Previous scholarship recipients eligible. Must submit a new essay.

Essay Prompt

All interested students must write an 800-word essay describing:

• What are your career goals at this point in your life?
• How would you like the AIA to serve you in your professional development?
• What is it about Queens architecture and its vibrant history that appeals to you?

Submission Requirements

Applicant must include the following 5 required items. PDF submission packages may not exceed 20 MB. Submission Package can be submitted via Google Form OR via Email to [email protected] Subject Line: “FirstName_LastName - 2023 College ScholarApp”.
PDFs may not exceed 5 MB per file.

• Filled Application Form (PDF   or  Google Form)
  • If submitting PDF form, save using following format: FirstName_LastName_2023_Application_College
• Resume (8.5” x 11” PDF)
  • PDF file saved using following format: FirstName_LastName_2023_Resume_College
• Essay (8.5” x 11” PDF)

• Recent Hi-res Photograph (Headshot/Portrait) with minimum 150 DPI - PNG or JPG file
